Application specific instructions deal with five main commands. The five commands are BSL, BSR, SQO, SQC, and SQL. The BSL command is the bit shift left command. The SQO is the sequencer output command. The SQC is the sequencer compare command. The SQL command is the sequencer load command.

These instructions simplify your ladder program by allowing you to use a single instruction or pair of instructions to perform common complex operations.

Mnemonic Name Purpose
BSL
Bit Shift Left Loads a bit of data array, shifts the pattern of data through the array to the left and unloads the last bit of data in the array.
BSR Bit Shift Right Loads a bit of data array, shifts the pattern of data through the array to the right and unloads the last bit of data in the array.
SQO Sequencer Output Controls sequential machine operation by transfering 16-bit through a mask to image addresses for controlling outputs.
SQC Sequencer Compare Controls sequential machine operation by transfering 16-bit through a mask to image addresses to reference data for monitoring inputs.
SQL Sequencer Load Capture reference conditions by manually stepping the machine through its operating sequences.
